Sidecar Café – An Americana Outpost Off the Beaten Path
After a great week at the 2017 Outdoor Retail Convention in Utah in July, the REEL OBSESSION team headed back out on the road to make the return trip to Southern California. One thing’s for sure about being out on the road—it’s a great way to work up a fierce appetite. Lucky for REEL OBSESSION, their wish was answered when they stumbled upon the Sidecar Café, located in the Springville area of the Utah Valley. Housed inside the Legends Motorcycle Emporium, home to an extensive collection of vintage motorcycles, the Sidecar Café serves up its tasty, homey comfort food in a spacious location—shared with a motorcycle museum, a full-service motorcycle parts and repair shop that builds and repairs custom bikes, a gift shop, and even a barbershop where patrons can receive an old-fashioned shave. REEL OBSESSION received a warm welcome, with extra helpings of hospitality, from the Sidecar Café staff.
After a great meal from a menu featuring local, fresh ingredients and modern takes on American classics like Mac n’ Cheese, burgers, steaks, and specialty salads, the REEL OBSESSION team got the VIP treatment with an introduction to the building and Cafe. REEL OBSESSION CEO Robert Schmidt says, “It’s a bike museum, with cool things to purchase and a really fun atmosphere. Even the bathrooms were cool. Thanks, Sidecar Café!”
